Structural Bonding - Silicones


Silicone adhesives are selected mainly for their capability to elastically absorb and/or compensate dynamic stresses, in addition to the load transmission properties of the adhesive assembly. Besides their elastic properties, many elastic adhesives from Henkel exhibit a high inherent strength (cohesion) and a relatively high modulus, achieving friction-locked joints which, at the same time, have elastic properties.

  • Allows the most varied substrate combinations, e.g. metal/plastics, metal/glass, metal/wood etc.
  • Reduces and/or compensates stress caused by differential thermal expansion of joint substrates
